Going Underground does not require calling or emailing first. Sellers are welcome to come in with records, CDs, tapes, and similar media, and the shop can take it from there.

Are there genres or local/regional records you pay special attention to?

We love local records, but there is no specifics. I would say we have alot of pride being from Bakersfield and really appreciate music that was made here.

What condition problems do sellers most often underestimate?

Mold, water damage, records missing covers and or totally damaged are things that often come in.

Do you find sellers usually expect more or less than what you're able to offer?

Hard to say, we've been able to buy many amazing record collections so we seem to make good offers

What's the most memorable collection that's come through your door?

There's been very many, the latest big one was a massive jazz collection, the seller was happy and our customers we stoked.

What would you want a first-time visitor to Going Underground Records to know before they stop in?

Come in and enjoy the shop.
