Record store: Records - The Good Kind
FAQ
What condition must records be in for you to buy them?
Records need to be free of scratches and covers free of mold or water damage. We assess each record carefully to ensure quality.
What genres of records do you usually buy?
We buy some of most genres but generally rock, jazz, soul, blues, international, and experimental are genres containing records we are always looking for. We don't buy opera or Jerry Vale / Mantovani-type stuff.
Do you buy 78s, and if so, what types?
In 78s, we only buy rock, blues, early R&B, small group jazz, and foreign language records.
What kind of records does your store carry?
We carry mostly used records, actually, probably well over 95% of our stock. We definitely make an effort to have a lot of different genres and to carry things that are more obscure as well as the obvious staples.
Do you carry records by local artists?
We don't have much in the way of local artists really, just a handful. Thanks for writing!
best wishes, Ian
