FAQ

What types of items can I buy, sell, or trade at Bookmans?

At Bookmans, you can buy, sell, and trade books, movies, and music. We specialize in used vinyl, particularly pop rock from the '60s to the '80s.

What genres of vinyl does Bookmans specialize in?

We specialize in used vinyl from the '60s to the '80s and newer pop rock, which sells best. However, we welcome all music genres except classical. Vinyl from genres like blues, jazz, R&B, hip hop, and other newer music is also highly sought after.

How does Bookmans evaluate and offer trade-in values for vinyl?

We offer about half of what we think we'll sell the vinyl for as trade-in value. The cash value offered is then half of the trade value, which equates to about a quarter of our expected selling price. Our pricing is based on data from Discogs and how specific genres perform at our store.

Can I bring a sample of my vinyl collection to get an estimate?

Yes, you are welcome to bring in a small sample of your vinyl collection to Bookmans. We can make an offer on that sample to give you an idea of what the rest of your collection might be valued at.

Who should I contact if I have more questions?

For any further inquiries, feel free to contact Robert Holcombe, the Store Manager at the Bookmans River location. You can reach him at 520-325-5767.

How long has Bookmans been in operation, and where are they located?

Bookmans has been a staple in Arizona for over 40 years, offering a trusted place to buy, sell, and trade entertainment items. You can visit us at any of our locations across Arizona, including the Bookmans East Entertainment Exchange.
