What types of music do you buy?

We buy modern jazz, classic soul, punk rock, new wave, avant-garde, international music - especially afrobeat, Bollywood, gamelan, French Ye-Ye, and unusual soundtracks like biker movies & horror, especially those by Ennio Morricone. Some classic rock favorites include Hendrix, Dylan, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin.

Are there any types of music you do not buy?

We don’t buy show tunes or traditional classical music on vinyl. We also avoid a lot of country music, except for artists like Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and the Carter Family. We generally don’t purchase much folk music unless it’s from labels like Folkways, Topic, Transatlantic, or Charisma.

What should I do if I have a large collection to sell?

If you have more than 50 albums to sell, please give us a call ahead of time. For collections over 100 promising sounding albums, we sometimes make house calls to evaluate your collection.

What are your buying hours?

Our buying hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 PM to 6 PM. However, it’s always a good idea to call ahead at 410-243-6888 to ensure we can accommodate you.

How is the payment calculated for the records I sell?

We pay approximately 1/3 of what we'll price the vinyl at. Trade value is 20% higher than the cash offered. This means you can choose between cash or store credit, with store credit being more advantageous if you’re also looking to expand your own collection.
