What types of records is ASL interested in buying?

ASL is always on the lookout for LPs and 45s in Very Good or higher condition. We are especially interested in genres such as Rock, Punk, Folk, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, House/Techno, Country (1950s-1970s), Blues, International music, 20th century/modern compositions, film soundtracks, easy listening/lounge/exotica, spoken word, and sound effects. Please note that we are not currently buying classical or showtunes.

How does ASL evaluate and make offers for records?

Our offer is based on each record's condition, genre, and market availability. While there is no set formula regarding cash versus credit, we are happy to offer a bit more in store credit.

Can I bring my records directly to ASL for evaluation?

Does ASL offer house visits for evaluating larger collections?

Yes, we can arrange house visits to evaluate larger collections if you are unable to bring them to the store. Please contact us at 202-596-1068 to discuss and schedule a visit.
