Savvy Vinyl Records opened in Melbourne, Florida, in February 2020. The shop grew out of a connection to Vinyl Request Records and now keeps a wide new-and-used mix for local collectors, regular browsers, and anyone chasing a clean copy across rock, punk, metal, disco, jazz, and more.

How did Savvy Vinyl Records get started?

We opened in February of 2020 and have been rocking ever since. I previously worked for Chris Lanza of Vinyl Request Records before he passed in 2019. We wanted to keep things going so I found our new spot in the heart of Melbourne, FL.

What kind of music and customers shape the shop?

We love our customers and we try to keep a variety of music genres in stock both new and used for them. We have all sorts of customers: rockers, punks, metal heads, disco dancers, and jazz fanatics just to name a few.

Does Savvy Vinyl Records buy used records or collections?

We do buy used records depending on condition and desirability, anything more than a stack and we set appointments for larger collections.

Where does the name Savvy Vinyl Records come from?

We have a ton of photos on Google and Yahoo. The Boss of the shop is our Dog Savannah thus the Savvy Vinyl Records. Savvy is her nickname. Hope this info helps.
