Record store: Variety Records & Entertainment
We are looking to buy records that are in "VERY GOOD" or better condition, as defined by the "GOLDMINE" Standard. This means records can have noticeable groove wear or light scratches that do not overpower the music.
FAQ
What genres of records are you most interested in purchasing?
We are interested in all genres, but we find ROCK, BLUES, R&B, JAZZ, and what we call "Superstars" and "Oddballs" of COUNTRY, EASY LISTENING/LOUNGE, GOSPEL, and BIG BAND to be generally more desirable.
Do you prefer LPs or 45s?
While we are more interested in 33 1/3 LPs, we are willing to look over both formats, including 7" 45s.
How can I bring my records in for evaluation?
If you have fewer than 500 records, you should call our store to schedule a time to bring them by. We will issue you a receipt for your drop off and contact you with an offer once we've assessed their desirability and condition.
How is the purchase price for records determined?
We offer a percentage of what we intend to sell them for. You'll receive more for the most valuable records and a bulk offer on the ones of lesser value.
For any further inquiries or to schedule a drop-off, feel free to contact me, Charlie, during store hours. Our store is open Mon - Sat from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
