Founded in 2014 by Andrey Douthard, the venue emerged from humble beginnings as an abandoned house with minimal resources. The space serves as a hub for artists, DJs, brands, and music enthusiasts to connect and perform. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM onward, Paramita Sound functions as a portal into Detroit's music subculture.

The venue prioritizes free, inclusive programming and community building. It gained recognition through The Beat Profile, a monthly showcase on the last Friday that featured Detroit's most progressive producers and emerging talent over three years. Today, Paramita Sound continues hosting live performances and events that celebrate Detroit's music heritage while creating opportunities for local creative communities.
