Little Axe Records Springfield opened in 2019 as a second location for the label founded by Warren Hill. The shop carries cassettes and books, with a focus on garage music. The cassette side of Little Axe has roots in a self-published Montreal magazine called $2 that ran from 2002 to 2006, each issue accompanied by a mixtape.
