Record store: Record Exchange (2)

FAQ

How is the value of a record determined at Record Exchange?

We determine the value of a record primarily based on three factors: artist demand, the condition of both the record and its cover, and the amount of stock we currently have in the store.

What options do I have for receiving payment when I sell my records?

At Record Exchange, we offer both cash and credit for records. Credit typically ranges from 25% to 50% more than the cash value.

Are there any types of records that Record Exchange does not accept?

There's no record we won't accept as we have a free bin for records that don't meet our purchasing criteria. However, for purchasing, we generally do not look for classical, big band, or albums by traditional male/female singers like Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Andy Williams, Neil Diamond, etc.

Can I get a better deal by opting for store credit instead of cash?

Yes, opting for store credit can give you anywhere from 25% to 50% more value compared to cash. This is a great option if you plan on purchasing other items from our store.

What factors affect the resale value of a record at your store?

The resale value of a record at our store is affected by artist demand, the condition of both the record and its cover, and our current stock levels. A record in better condition and in higher demand will generally fetch a higher price.
