Record store: Riverbend Records

What types of record collections are you looking to buy?

We are always looking to buy record collections of all sizes. We typically seek rock records from the 60's to present day, heavy metal, punk, hip-hop, jazz (specifically 50s, 60s, 70s bop and free jazz - no swing, Dixieland or soft jazz), some country, and certain R&B, Soul, Funk genres.

Are there any types of records you are not interested in?

We are not needing 50s, 60s, 70s soundtracks, pop vocalists, crooners, Christmas, Children's, or classical records. These categories do not fit our current collection goals.

What is your policy on buying 45s and 78s?

45s are mostly a no-go unless the condition is excellent or they are harder to find titles. For 78s, we are only interested if they are pre-war blues or something on the Sun label (like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, or Carl Perkins), or rockabilly.

How do you determine the value of records?

We determine the value based on the rarity, demand, and condition of the records. Records that are common and in poor condition typically have little to no value to us.

How can I show you my records or discuss options?

We are always happy to take a look at what you have or just discuss options. Feel free to bring your records to our store or contact us to arrange a discussion about your collection.

We are passionate about finding and preserving unique music collections. If you have records that fit our criteria, we would love to see them and potentially make an offer.
