What types of music genres and eras are you interested in?

We are interested in just about any rock dating back to 1960, including classic rock like the Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Steely Dan; Prog rock such as Can and Genesis; Punk, Heavy Metal, New Wave, Reggae, and Soul. In Jazz, we are looking for records from about 1959 to the present but not "Smooth Jazz" like Kenny G. We also buy some soundtracks from movies or shows but are very selective.

Are there any genres or types of music you do not buy?

We do not buy Big Band, Dixieland, Easy Listening, or Male/Female vocals like Barbra Streisand or Kenny Rogers. We aren't interested in Classical unless it's avant-garde or experimental.

How do you evaluate and make offers for collections?

For collections of 100 records or less, we can evaluate quickly and make an offer. Larger collections might take one business day. If a collection is over one thousand records, customers usually leave the records overnight. We use the online app Discogs to determine the retail value of your collection and generally offer about 40% of that value.

What are the best days to bring in records for evaluation?

The best days to bring records in are Monday, Thursday, and Friday. We are open on these days (closed Tues & Wed). Weekends are busy, so if you come on Saturday or Sunday, you would have to drop the records off, and we would go through them when we are not so busy.
