We are a small used book and record shop. We carry 75-80% used LPs of all genres, including a good selection of jazz and classic rock from the 60s and 70s. We also offer rare originals and an audiophile section. New vinyl consists mostly of reissues and select new artists, carefully curated to ensure quality over quantity.

Our stock primarily consists of used items, with about 75-80% being used LPs and 100% used books. We do carry new vinyl reissues and records from new artists that we appreciate.

Do you specialize in any particular type of music or books?

Our record sections are well-known for jazz and classic rock, particularly from the 60s and 70s. We also have a collectible section for books and some audiophile-grade records. We aim to avoid mainstream over-saturation, so you won't find an overwhelming amount of common pop albums.

Can customers preview your inventory online?

Yes, we actively post on Facebook and Instagram under Backstreet Beat. These platforms give a good overview of our current offerings and store vibe.

What are your store hours and location?

We are located a short walk from the ferry drop-off and are open every day except Monday. We also offer shipping within the US, which can be arranged during your visit or through direct contact.
