Record store: Locked Groove Records

Our process varies, depending on the size and overall condition of the collection.

At the moment, we're looking to purchase classic rock / pop etc from mid 70's and beyond. Jazz records, excluding big band. Reggae, soul, funk R&B. We're also open to modern reissues. The best sellers of the past are still the best sellers of today - so Elton John, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Prince, Michael Jackson etc are all things we'll never pass on purchasing. Also open to more unique and obscure finds.

We generally offer 25% of our retail value for used records, cash. We're very transparent in the process.

If your collection is on the higher end $ wise, we have a solid track record for in store and online consignment. Consignment deal is 60/40 (60% for our record store and 40% for the seller). Consignment is not 50/50 because we have to consider shipping materials and cost packaging time etc.

Store credit- to be honest offering store credit is a bit tough. If there's anything in stock you're interested in we can offer 50% off the sticker price, based on the trade in value. Our store has a good inventory, but it rotates quickly because of our location next to Ball State University.
