Record store: Bird & Beckett Books & Records
FAQ
What type of records are you specifically looking for?
I mostly look for jazz records from the 40s to the 70s. I'm particularly interested in records that are in good condition and can enhance our collection of vintage jazz.
What are your trade and cash offer policies?
Trade toward used books and records is twice the cash offer. Trade towards new books (and the few new records we might have) is 1/3 more than the cash offer. This provides flexible options depending on your preference for cash or trade.
When is the best time to bring records into the store?
You would want to call before bringing records in to make sure I'm going to be around. Store hours are noon to six, and I'm mostly committed only to the early afternoon. It's best to check in advance.
Can I bring records on weekends?
Weekend days can be ok, but I work the store solo generally and it can get busy. It's possible to bring records over the weekend, but please call first to ensure it's a suitable time.
What if I have records from other genres?
For records from genres other than jazz, I refer to Jeff Kazor or Forever Vinyl, who buys more broadly and puts records in here on consignment from a range of genres.
