Amazing Books & Records

Amazing Books & Records operates two locations in Pittsburgh serving as the city's largest independent used bookstore for over 13 years. The Walnut Street store carries vinyl records, books, and memorabilia across genres including punk, jazz, soul, hip-hop, reggae, metal, and rock. The shop hosts events and buys vinyl records from individual sellers and large collections alike. They seek current literary and non-fiction bestsellers, philosophy, science fiction, fantasy, horror, graphic novels, chess books, rare collectibles, and classic literature in good condition.

The store actively purchases records and books at both Pittsburgh locations. For records, they buy classic rock, jazz, soul, new wave, punk, post-punk, underground, heavy metal, hip-hop, blues, reggae, and international music. Customers can bring up to six boxes of books Monday through Friday between noon and 6 p.m., or contact the store about larger donations. The team travels throughout Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia for substantial collections and pays cash or store credit for quality inventory.
