Birdland Music in Virginia Beach has served the Tidewater area since 1969. Originally located in Norfolk, the store moved to its current location in 1978 and remains family-owned and operated. The shop stocks new and used vinyl, 45s, CDs, turntables, and music merchandise across genres including rock, soul, punk, reggae, metal, jazz, and blues. The store carries one of the area's best selections of used vinyl and reasonably prices its inventory. Staff can special order items from the warehouse if needed.
Located at 951 Providence Road, Birdland Music is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from noon to 4:30 PM. The store also offers turntable needles, record care products, and rock and roll t-shirts.
