Sudden Light Records

Sudden Light Records is an independent record store located upstairs at 3933 S Croatan Highway in Nags Head, NC. The store focuses on rock music and hosts Record Store Day events. The owner moved to the Outer Banks after meeting his wife, who established her tea business in the area before relocating it to the coast. Drawing inspiration from her successful transition, he launched Sudden Light Records after spending eight years in retail management.

Now in its third year of operation, Sudden Light Records serves the local community with a curated selection centered on rock. The store participates actively in the vinyl community through special events and continues to build its presence on the Outer Banks music scene.
